Jake Goodson

REAL ESTATE BROKER, OREGON

A lot of Jake’s energy goes into helping others: helping his daughter grow up, helping his clients reach their goals, and helping his colleagues grow as agents and people.

Jake has found that giving—his gifts, his time, his talents—is what he is here to do. The meaning of his life starts with giving himself to others. It’s in that space of love and sacrifice that he has found incredible abundance.

All the touchy-feely stuff aside (he’s not a hippie, he swears!), Jake has spent over 18 years as a real estate agent. In today’s hectic marketplace, having someone with experience, commitment, and know-how can help you navigate the world of real estate.

What Jake enjoys most about the profession is the art of orchestrating a transaction. There are also times during the lifecycle of a transaction when it stalls or hits a wall. Jake has a knack for creating solutions in these situations. Perhaps more importantly, he never lets emotions or his ego get in the way.

Jake also specializes in the creative aspects of inexpensive transformations that can often trigger higher selling prices for listings. He possesses a unique ability to manage full-scale property renovations and has a good eye for design, furniture placement, and art.

Graduating from the University of Oregon with honors in English and Creative Writing helps with the contracts: a little “creative writing” never hurts! Jake was born in Santa Rosa, CA, and moved to Oregon at a very young age. He went to high school in Oregon, California, and Washington. After high school, he did a brief stint in the Bay Area, and now he’s finding that the people he met at house parties in the early '90s are moving up here. Go figure!

Outside of work, Jake tries to enjoy all that Oregon has to offer: surfing, snowboarding, skating, you name it. He has traveled all over the globe and can honestly say this is his favorite place on earth. He still needs to get that snowboarding/Onsen trip to Japan in, though. Oh, and maybe a sabbatical in New Zealand and Australia. We’ll see…

Last but not least, spending time with his darling daughter Celine is Jake’s greatest joy. You may see them biking around PDX or running around on a beach on the Oregon Coast.
